Attending conferences is also an excellent way to find full time or adjunct teaching positions. At every conference, those schools that are hiring leave flyers at the registration desk advertising open positions at their schools. While socializing between sessions, as well as in the evening after the conference sessions, you'll have a great opportunity to meet faculty, learn about potential jobs, and most importantly, form a favorable first impression on exactly those faculty that you are likely to find on your hiring committee.
