Student Poster Proposal Form

Thank you for your interest in participating in the annual poster session at our Monterey conference. We encourage all types of posters that present some aspect of mathematics (math history, math education, problem solving, mathematical modeling, algebra, calculus, topology, statistics, etc), and provide these guidelines for your poster and information on how they will be judged.

Students are limited to two student presenters per entry and lunch will be provided to all applicants. Additional lunches may be purchased at the regular conference rate (currently $75/lunch, payable at the conference). Please indicate any additional lunches in the form below. Student presenters will need to have a faculty sponsor who attends the conference. The faculty sponsor is responsible for their own conference registration. A $150 scholarship will be awarded for each Student Poster entry presented at the Monterey Conference. ($150 to a single student presenter or $75 to each student of a pair of presenters). Additional scholarships will be awarded to the winning poster(s).

Presenters will set up their poster at 9 am on the Saturday of the conference and remove their poster between 3 pm and 5 pm the same day. Student presentations (with a maximum length of 10 minutes) will occur between 10:30 and 11:30 am in Regency V and awards announced before the keynote. Tables will be provided to hold stand-alone posters. If you wish to present your poster on an easel, please plan to bring your own. Once the application is submitted, applicants and their sponsors will be contacted with additional information about when and where they will present their poster to conference attendees.

Please provide the information requested below. The information you provide will be used by the CMC3 Foundation Board to select four (4) entries to present their poster at the Student Poster Contest Session in Monterey. The deadline for submissions for the the fall 2019 conference has passed. If you have questions about the poster session, please contact the Student Poster Session Chair.
